Services General Medicine Services We provide general medical care including chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, COPD, thyroid disorders, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, esophageal reflux and allergic rhinitis), prescription medication management, acute illness and urgent medical problems, diagnosis and treatment of new medical problems, health care maintenance, hospital follow-up care. Pediatric Medicine Services We provide general pediatric care including acute illness and urgent medical problems, newborn care, well child care, immunizations, evaluation of behavioral problems, chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, diabetes, ADHD, allergic rhinitis), prescription medication management, diagnosis and treatment of new medical problems, hospital follow-up care. Geriatric Medicine Services We provide geriatric medical care including chronic disease management, prescription medication management, acute illness and urgent medical problems, diagnosis and treatment of new medical problems, Medicare annual wellness visits, hospital follow-ups, advance directive counseling, nursing home care, assisted living care, dementia assessments, hospice oversight Minor Office Surgical Procedures We perform removal of skin lesions, skin biopsy, removal of ingrown toenail, incision and drainage of abscess, wound care, incision of external hemorrhoids, treatment of warts, and burn care. Preventive Medical Services We perform well child care, health care maintenance Visits, Medicare annual wellness visits, “Welcome to Medicare” visit, Immunizations, cancer screening counseling, Pap smears, lipid screening, diabetes screening, wellness counseling, tobacco cessation counseling, alcohol misuse counseling, as well as other preventive services. Physical Examinations We perform school physicals, sports pre-participation physicals, employment physicals, driver physicals, CDL Physicals, school bus driver physicals and other physicals. Work Comp Injury Evaluations If approved by your employer, we can provide urgent work injury care and follow-up. Minor Fractures, Lacerations and Injuries We can evaluate and treat minor injuries, fractures and lacerations. Injections We can administer allergy injections, B-12 injections, Depoprovera injections, prescription medication injections. Other Testing EKG, spirometry, visual screening, hearing screening, mini mental status exams. Laboratory Services We provide phlebotomy services (blood draws), by appointment, for tests ordered by our physicians. Specimens are sent to Carlisle Regional Medical Center or Quest Laboratory, depending on your insurance. They will bill you or your insurance for any tests performed. If you would like to request a specific lab provider, please let your phlebotomist know. Due to courier schedules, most phlebotomy must be done before 12:00 noon. In addition, for some insurance, we offer in office testing, including finger stick pro-time, rapid strep and influenza testing, urine pregnancy and urinalysis. Immunizations Our office provides all routine childhood and most adult immunizations. In addition to immunizations provided by insurance plans, we do participate in the Pennsylvania Vaccine for Children Program. Nursing Home Should you or a loved one need nursing home care, we provide nursing home visits at the Manor at Perry Village in New Bloomfield, and at Kinkora Pythorian Home in Duncannon. Hospital Our physicians do not provide hospital care. We generally refer patients who need hospitalization to the Hospitalist Services at UPMC Carlisle, Holy Spirit Hospital, UPMC West Shore, UPMC Harrisburg, UPMC Community Osteopathic, and other hospitals as desired or needed.
